Father’s Day 2027 is Sunday, June 20. In Bowling Green, the weekend has belonged to drag racing: in 2026 Beech Bend Raceway’s NHRA Hot Rod Reunion ran Friday to Sunday, June 18-20, ending on Father’s Day. Add the National Corvette Museum, the city’s golf courses and a Sunday brunch, and the weekend is full.

Nostalgic drag racing, a car show, Cacklefest, vendors and a swap meet; the event is produced by and benefits the NHRA Motorsports Museum (Beech Bend; listing).   • Horsepower Hangout, Beech Bend Raceway’s monthly Friday night car meet, new in 2026: a burnout pad, a live DJ and food trucks, gates at 6 p.m. and the track hot at 8 p.m. The June 2026 meet was Friday, June 12 (Horsepower Hangout).
  • National Corvette Museum, 350 Corvette Drive: in 2026 the museum held its R8C Reunion for Corvette owners who took delivery at the museum June 25-27, with Member Appreciation Day on June 27 (listing). The museum is open seven days a week until 5 p.m., the visitors bureau says (Corvette Museum).

Golf

Bowling Green Parks and Recreation runs the city’s public golf: a course at Hobson Grove Park, 1200 W. Main St., and the nine-hole Paul Walker Golf Course at Covington Woods Park, 1044 Covington Ave. Tee times and rates are on the city golf page.
