Biking and walking

Parking downtown

The City of Bowling Green’s downtown parking map shows more than 1,200 free parking spots:

  • Stadium Park Plaza structure, 360 E. 8th Ave., next to Bowling Green Ballpark: 700 spaces, free.
  • Free public lots around Fountain Square Park, including the State Street lot at 801 State St., and free street parking on many downtown blocks.
  • Lots free weekdays after 5 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday, marked separately on the map.
  • Paid parking in some lots, also marked on the map.

The city says it does not tow from these free public lots and has no towing agreement for them. Privately owned lots may tow or charge to park, and city ordinance requires them to post signs. Read the signs before you leave your car. The map does not list time limits, so follow the posted signs on each street.
