- Show a photo ID with your name, issued by the state of Kentucky, the federal government, the military, Merchant Marines or Kentucky National Guard, a U.S. college or university, or a Kentucky city or county. A high school ID does not count.
- No photo ID? Sign an affidavit at the polls and show an out-of-state driver’s license, a county ID card approved by the State Board of Elections, or any ID with your name and photo.
Credit cards, Social Security cards, SNAP or EBT cards and being personally known to an election officer no longer count as ID. Free voter ID cards are available at any Kentucky regional driver licensing office; bring a birth certificate, Social Security card and proof of residency.
